Welcome to Bedford Independent Film Festival! We welcome films from all genres and seek to champion the work of independent filmmakers.
ABOUt
Bedford Independent Film Festival has been created by filmmakers for filmmakers. We have 25 years of combined experience in independent filmmaking, and we’re committed to delivering a festival that promotes and showcases the work of independent filmmakers from around the world. We’re open to all genres including Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Action, Comedy, Drama, Western, Animation.
Judging will be undertaken by our panel of festival directors and scored on multiple categories including cinematography, story, pacing, production design and sound etc.
We’re planning for an entire weekend of film screenings at our venue over three days as well as talks and seminars from industry professionals, networking events and an award ceremony at the closing of the festival.
OUR VENUE
We're lucky to have the beautiful Quarry Theatre as our main screening venue, located in the heart of Bedford.
Each selected feature will be screened in our 170-seat capacity theatre and will be preceded by one short film

ANDREW GILBERT
An independent filmmaker from Bedford with 10+ years experience and worldwide distribution on two feature films.
LEAH PERKINS
Leah is a script supervisor with over 10 years experience in the TV & film industry as an assistant producer, researcher, talent agent, and on screen roles. She has previously worked in business management roles and ran events in bedford.
IAGO Montgomery-JARVIS
Iago is an award winning actor, director and filmmaker. He's a firearms instructor for screen and as interesting facts go, he's a trained chef.
JULIAN HUNDY
A cinematographer and award winning editor from Bedford with 10 plus years of experience on feature films and short films.
